The Gold Coast Housing Company is an independent, not-for-profit charitable organisation providing community and affordable housing to individuals and families in need through a variety of  housing programs.

The community housing sector is a dynamic, growing and competitive market and through the success of the Gold Coast Housing Company this newly created role will be critical in partnering with the CEO in driving the financial strategy for the group.  This is a career opportunity that will allow you to combine your financial and commercial skills in an organisation which makes a significant contribution to the community on the Gold Coast and increasingly throughout regional centres.

As Financial Controller you will have full accountability for all accounting, financial, commercial and compliance functions including company secretarial responsibilities relating to governance and regulatory issues. You will lead and develop a small and committed team and work closely with the CEO in preparing options and strategies to a focused and hard working board of directors.

You will be an outstanding communicator, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a career that demonstrates an ability to be hands on together with the capability to shape strategic thinking and develop enterprising solutions in a dynamic environment. You will have formal accounting qualifications and be able to quickly develop an understanding of community services and the not for profit sector.

An attractive remuneration including salary sacrificing will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
