Based in rural Victoria they are searching for an experienced and highly driven Area Manager with a key focus of controlling the “weekend operations” at the site covering the period Friday through to Monday. It is a Full Time position. With strong experience in the production of a wide range of food products the successful candidate will have an excellent track record of supplying product of the highest quality to demanding deadlines.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager for Bacon you will lead the execution of manufacturing activities consisting of a team of 4-5 direct reports and up to 50 indirect reports (at any point in time). Responsible for production & manufacturing and as a leader in the manufacturing side of the operation, you will be able to take the plant reliability to the next level, drive a culture of continuous improvement and focus on eliminating waste through quality and process improvements. Your strong background in successfully managing production planning and human resources in order to hit tight production deadlines, as well as fostering a positive culture within your team, will be well regarded.

Your demonstrable track record in the areas of HAZOP / HACCP / Food Safety and extensive history of driving operational improvements, incorporating OEE is critical to success in the role. As are a hands-on, experienced operational Manager with a proven record of safety, quality and continuous improvement within a complex food manufacturing environment you will enjoy this challenge. A leader with the ability to influence and quickly gain credibility and empower employees, your advanced communication skills in motivating and managing your team will ensure success. The capacity to deliver on multiple deadlines, assess and improve manufacturing performance and recommend and implement improvements will be in demand.
