With an extensive portfolio of tenements in the Murchison region of WA, Mount Magnet South is dedicated to becoming a producer. Having acquired the assets of the Kirkalocka Project in 2008, including the Curara Well open pit, the Company’s goal is to start mining later this year. The company owns the 1.2mtpa Kirkalocka Plant. As a esult they are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Exploration Geologist to drive the project forward.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the growth, leadership and development of the Geology team - both employees and contractors. Assisting with the design of, and managing and running the proposed drill programs for 2010, you will also be expected to initiate, design, plan and implement all future programs. You will also need to define and develop key exploration targets as well as review and analyse all data compiled to date. As the project develops you will become heavily involved in all near to mine processes.
Tertiary qualified and with a minimum of eight years experience in exploration, you will have a strong technical background and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of current exploration practices. A good communicator, you will be familiar with Datamine, MapInfo or Surpac and have a passion for being ‘hands
on’.
