As an emerging resource company listed on the ASX, with a portfolio of mining and resource assets in Queensland and New South Wales, this company is concentrating on developing a historic silver mine.  Located in Queensland, this project includes both greenfields and advanced assets. Between 2007 and 2009 the mine produced 500000 ounces of silver, following this period it was placed in care and maintenance.

A comprehensive reassessment of the project is currently underway, with a view to recommissioning the operation by the end of 2010. Additionally, the company is focused on assessing and capitalising on the significant potential within it’s large tenement package close to the mine.

The company now seek to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the role of Operations/Resident Manager for the project. The appointee with be responsible for managing all aspects of the project including the management and coordination of the refurbishment, mining, processing and support functions on site, including community relations within the small town.

Candidates should be tertiary qualified preferably in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing have a minimum of ten years experience, some of which will have been at a senior level, and a proven track record of delivering results. This is a residential role in a small town with excellent facilities within comfortable driving distance from Brisbane. Details of the remuneration package will be outlined at the initial interview.
