Heritage Gold NZ Limited is a leading mining exploration company, listed on both the ASX and NZX. With a significant portfolio of gold assets in New Zealand and cobalt/base metal interests in New South Wales, the company’s key focus is the historic 1Moz Talisman gold mine and extensions, near Waihi in the southern Coromandel region of New Zealand. The company believes its assets, near the world class Martha deposit, offer potential for the discovery of further world class epithermal gold deposits. The company is currently preparing for an extensive resource development program at the Talisman mine and exploration drilling nearby.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for initiating, designing, planning and implementing all exploration programs for the region. You will be expected to manage field staff and contractors as well as being the key liaison with local landowners. The ability to acquire a sound knowledge of New Zealand community issues and mining-relevant legislation is essential.
Tertiary qualified with a minimum of five years experience, you will have a strong technical background. Previous experience with vein-hosted gold deposits and running geochemical/geophysical surveys and drill programs will be an advantage. A good communicator, you will have a passion for being ‘hands on’.
