Murrumbidgee Irrigation is one of the largest private irrigation companies in Australia with a significant capital project portfolio scheduled over the coming years. It serves over 3300 properties spread over 670,000 hectares, including a diversity of crops, industry and communities. The organisation’s catchment zone is home to over 50,000 people with the majority of jobs linked inextricably to the water it supplies. This unlisted public company’s services are a vital cornerstone of the communities and businesses it serves. The organisation now requires a General Manager of Finance and ICT.

The General Manager of Finance and ICT will take direct responsibility for the financial and ICT functions of the company. The role requires you to manage financial risk, instigate appropriate controls, forecast/budget and provide strategic and tactical advice on financial matters to the Board. It is critical you provide leadership and direction to your team,  promoting a positive culture reflecting the values of the company and community.

It is essential you are tertiary qualified in Finance or Accounting or similar and ideally a member of a professional accounting body and have extensive career history in leading the financial function of a business and operating at  Board level. As you will be leading a diverse team and communicating to a range of stakeholders you will clearly demonstrate a track record across excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in infrastructure, utilities and/or asset investment sectors is highly desirable as is experience leading ICT functions and strategy.
